The Department of Commerce offers B.Com & M.Com with Computer Application, which were introduced in the academic year 2007 - 2008 and 2012 - 2013 respectively. General B.Com was introduced in 2012 - 2013. However In 2017, Computer Applications(CA) related to the respective programmes were withdrawn by the University. The Department enjoys a good reputation for having potential job opportunities. The department conducts seminars and workshops periodically to encourage new start-ups. Students are motivated to present their paper at National and International Seminars.
programme Outcome
Aims at creating awareness about commerce and business transactions including accounting, auditing, law, banking, marketing, income tax etc. The graduate who takes up commerce thus simultaneously grows into a multi sided personality related to business strategies. It equips and trains young minds to face the upcoming challenges of commerce due to glottalization, privatization and liberalization. It also opens avenues for securing jobs through competitive exams particularly for banking services. It also paves way for independent and individualistic auditors.
